5 Things to Review

  1. The dust collecting around your living space needs cleaning. How about some things that can be organized? Laundry?
  2. Put aside some money every paycheck from now on to get one more piece of gym equipment for home.
  3. Try to cook a new Paleo meal from one of the sites from my earlier blogs. Try an ingredient you haven't eaten before!
  4. Write another affirmation for the summer once this 30 days is over. You can't stop now, you've already gotten in the habit of success.
  5. Change one person's life with this. Take them to the gym with you. Bring them to my CrossFit box with a session with me and George. Pay. This. Forward.

5 Blogs with 5 Reasons to Exercise

I consider myself a major novice when it comes to fitness, dieting, and blogging. I've always had the Men's Health subscriptions and the RSS feeds of different major websites (CrossFit, Bodybuilding.com, etc) and I'm always looking for the best advice out there. This time I tried to take a different approach to see other independent bloggers and fitness enthusiasts to see what THEY believed were the most important reasons to exercise. I found this a more genuine and honest approach because these people are taking the time to experiment with their bodies, research their own material, and put the time and hours to make videos to share with all of us. The following 5 blogs are sites that I saw that their top 5 reasons of exercising. This is just exercising in general; it doesn't include working out only in the morning, pr working out at the gym, or specializing in running, swimming, biking, or giving a suggestion to try this program or that. It was just... exercising. If you DO exercising... you will get the benefits of ___. After checking out different blogs and choosing the 5, I see the common factors they all mentioned in their benefits of exercising.
  • Your Physical Health.
    • Having more energy. Losing weight. Performing better at exercises. You name it. The 30 day program of "thinking" about going to the gym isn't going to cut it. Get up. Lift something up. Put something down. Lots of times.
  • Your Mental Health.
    • The way you see yourself. Your self esteem. Your hormones. You'll feel happier knowing you're being productive and achieving goals everyday.
  • Your Confidence.
    • Who doesn't like seeing themselves sexier in the mirror? Who doesn't like posing in the bathroom after seeing those first signs of abs or a better looking derriere? Exercising puts you in another category in cockiness when you put in the hard work. Did they mention the sex life will improve?
  • Your Life.
    • Let's face it, we're going to get old, but the quality of your life completely overshadows the number of years you want to live. If you want full range of motion without the use of a machine or handicap instrument, you're going to work on your mobility till you're getting social security. If you want to avoid getting prescribed 13 medicines just to keep your body functioning, get your diet right and get moving. Quality of live > quantity.
